Leanne's 100 Wishes Quilt

“To welcome and celebrate a new life, there is a tradition in the northern part of China to make a “Bai Jia Bei”, or “100 Good Wishes Quilt”. It is custom to invite 100 people to contribute a single square patch of cloth. The 100 patches are sewn together into a quilt that contains the luck, energy, and good wishes from all the families and friends who contributed a piece of fabric. The quilt is then passed down from generation to generation.”

Well, I finally completed Leanne’s quilt. I even took the leftover material and made a small doll quilt, which I will be taking to China. Thank you to all who contributed material and a thoughtful wish. I thought it was fitting that the last piece of material I attached said, “And God said, it was good”.

Stacy,
We will be keeping you in our prayers! You have been awaiting this day for a long time and I am so glad that it is finally here! Leanne is blessed to have you, Ted and Sam as her new family; not to mention the extended family and friends. May God Bless You in your travels.

"All in God's time" with patience along the way is hard to remember at times. Leanne is definately in God's plan. You and Ted and Sam are to experience so many possibilities and pleasures. Enjoy each and every one with Grace from God. Don and I waited for 10 years not knowing we could be parents. God's plan.

I have thought of and prayed for you all so many times. Your little family is finally going to be united! Tiny girl has no idea how loved she is, even before she was born. I am so happy for you all. Love you!!!

God is so good! Just think...God planned from the start that a precious little girl named Leanne from the other side of the world would be your daughter. Everything you have experienced was part of His puzzle to lead you to this moment! We are praying for safe travel, good health during your trip, a content Sam, and a joyous moment when you hold your baby daughter for the first time. We love you guys!
